DJ Career Opportunities
MyDeejay welcomes inquiries from experienced and prospective DJs in the greater Baltimore/Washington area.
If you’re currently working as a DJ, we’d love to chat with you about your experience and how it could be a match for what we have to offer. Please note that all of MyDeejay’s performers are exclusive to our company and sign an agreement to that effect — please contact us only if you are available to work under these terms and are not under contract to any other agency.
We’re also happy to train smart, creative people to make a career out of deejaying. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone seeking a substantial income for part-time work; you can supplement your 9-5 job or spend your days doing what you love — art, writing, computers, whatever! All of our DJs’ work can be completed at night and on the weekends.
Here’s what we’re looking for, regardless of previous DJ experience:
You must be professional in appearance and articulate in communication
You must be friendly and able to connect well with people
You must be passionate about a wide variety of music
You must be quick on your feet and able to troubleshoot problems
You must be willing to learn our (extremely high) standards and be committed to maintaining them
Our apprenticeship program lasts about six months and includes classroom-style instruction, tests, and hands-on workshops, as well as paid on-site training at events with our current DJs. After completing this comprehensive program, you will be more knowledgeable about weddings and high-end corporate events than virtually every other DJ in the area, and you can begin making serious money doing something you love.
We generally accept new apprenticeship candidates in mid-late summer; however, we do occasionally accept candidates at other times during the year. If you’re interested in joining our team, please email us at email@example.com.
