Lizzie and Kevin's wedding at the Cosmo's Club was simply gorgeous and we're so happy we could be a part of it! Brian Jones worked with this couple on the soundtrack for their reception and he had a great time working with them and the amazing team of vendors that helped made this day incredible. Here's what Brian had to say about Lizzie and Kevin's big day:
Lizzie and Kevin's wedding was the perfect combination of style and fun. The Cosmos Club lent its beautiful ballroom while the wedding couple brought their love of indie music and classic pop. Their first dance helped set that tone of elegance and light-hearted fun, as they started dancing slow to Louis Armstrong's "La Vie En Rose" but had me mix into "Then He Kissed Me" by The Crystals to liven it up and invite everyone onto the dance floor with them for a pre-dinner dance set. I knew within those first 15 minutes that it was going to be a really fun night!
As I assured guests that there would be plenty more dancing to come, they sat down for dinner and a mix of indie and classic rock including Radiohead, Father John Misty, Sam Cooke, Neil Young, and The Rolling Stones. I always encourage couples to let their personal preferences shine through, and dinner and cocktail hour are great times to pick songs and bands that are important to you, but maybe aren't designed for the dance floor. Lizzie and Kevin didn't disappoint and really set a great mood with their choices.
After the first course, Lizzie and her father shared a dance to James Taylor's "Copperline" followed by Kevin dancing with his mother to Leann Womack's "I Hope You Dance." And dance he did as we went into another short dance set in between dinner courses! Kevin and Lizzie knew their guests were big dancers so they looked for any opportunity they could to open up the dance floor. I loved it!
Lizzie and Kevin struck just the right balance between black-tie and laid-back! It was a pleasure helping them celebrate with their friends and family and I wish them many more dance sets to come!
