Gretchen and Matt had an amazing wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club on May 16th. The weather held out just long enough for a beautiful ceremony on the rooftop deck of the Garden Room, adjacent to the Sunset Ballroom. If you haven't seen this place yet, you should go - it's amazing. This is the newest addition to the property and the view is stunning.
I have to say that this is one of the best overall vendor teams I've worked with - everyone knew each other! Their planner was the fabulous Raquel Shutt from WeddingSavvy, the photographers were Amy Raab and David Spence (thanks for the pictures, by the way!), cake courtesy of Fiona Brown from Fiona's Cakes, Teresa Hunter headed up everything for CBBC, and their ceremony music was by Bay Strings headed by Sally Stallings. Even though there was a lot going on, everyone worked perfectly together and it totally paid off.
The setup for this one was pretty complicated because they wanted to have dancing in the Garden Room where the bar is. So, I had to break out our wireless speaker system to tie the ballroom and the Garden Room together. After some great toasts and food, everyone watched Matt and Gretchen share their first dance to "L-O-V-E" by Nat King Cole - a classic.
Everyone had a great time dancing and chatting and drinking (CBBC's bartenders are great :), and the rain even held off long enough for everyone to leave and for me to load out. It was a fantastic wedding, thanks for having me!
