Rachel and Jim were awesome to work with - totally laid back and fun. They had a traditional Jewish ceremony, as well as their cocktails and reception, at the Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax in Virginia. I had never played at the hotel before, they have a really cute outdoor courtyard with a trellis, fountain, and plenty of trees and plants. It was a small wedding (less than 60 guests), mostly family and a few close friends.
Despite the small crowd, it turned out to be quite a party! We came right in after introductions and did the first dance, and then ripped right into the hora - complete with the two of them up on chairs. Rachel and her friends are really into dancing, and she asked for a lot of current music. I served up song after song, mix after mix, and every time I thought they were ready to quit, they came back for more.
Things blew by really quickly, and everyone seemed to have an awesome time. I had a lot of fun doing it - time flies when you're having fun, right? Jim and Rachel, thank you so much for having me at your wedding!!
