Mika and Kevin held their wedding at Ceresville Mansion in Frederick, Maryland – one of my favorite sites in that area.  It’s a historic mansion with a huge patio in the back, complete with a big trellis and a fountain.  I provided music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception, and it really turned out great.  After entering to traditional classical music for the ceremony, Mika and Kevin used “Happy Together” by The Turtles for their recessional.  It was a perfect segue into a classic rock cocktail hour, which featured everything from Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd to Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.  I rarely get to play stuff like that at weddings, and it was a real treat to put together the playlist!

Once everyone took their seats for the reception, the bridal party did not disappoint.  They were a rowdy bunch, and entered to “Tequila” by The Champs – complete with tequila shots as they were entering the room.  Kevin and Mika came in to “Foxey Lady” by Jimi Hendrix and their guests went crazy.  After toasts and dinner, they shared their first dance to “Nothing Else Matters” by Metallica!

I opened up the dance floor and got things going, their guests were great to work with.  I had a ton of fun playing for this group, thanks so much to Mika and Kevin for sharing it with me!
