Meredith's and Zack's wedding was a great celebration of family and friends, far and wide. The reception took place at the beautiful Historic Whitehall Manor in Bluemont, Virginia, which provided a truly spectacular setting. Meredith and Zack's first dance was the timeless "At Last" by Etta James, and a big highlight of the evening was the groomsman's one-of-a-kind toast. He told a story about having performed a "social experiment" on his college campus -- he saw the bride- and groom-to-be walking together, and he ran up behind the bride to try to snatch her wallet. He did this to test the groom's mettle and see if he'd protect his bride. Apparently the bride held on to her wallet so tightly and delivered such a death stare that it was clear that she would be the one who would always protect him!
I really enjoyed being part of this wedding, and in addition to a fantastic bride and groom, I had a great time working with planner Jamie Sears of A Simply Chic Event. She did a wonderful job executing the wedding, including a really memorable sparkler sendoff outside Whitehall. Congratulations again Meredith and Zack!
