Couple: Rob and Jen Wedding Date: July 17, 2010
DJ: Evan Reitmeyer
Jen and Rob hosted an absolutely beautiful summer wedding at Strong Mansion on Sugarloaf Mountain in July. It pretty warm outside, but everyone was in a great mood and danced like crazy! They had a string trio for the outdoor ceremony, and I provided the lapel mic for their officiant. The ceremony was beautiful, and very emotional for everyone involved. I could tell just by watching the guests that this was going to be a great wedding!
After the ceremony, the guests were encouraged to enjoy cocktails and hors d'ouvres by our friends at Canapes Catering by the pond outside the mansion. It's a really cute spot, and the frogs were chirping along with the music!
Once cocktail hour was finished, the guests were treated to a lovely meal and some truly spectacular toasts. The best man gave what was easily one of the 5 best speeches I've seen in my career -- it was fantastic.
After dinner, the sun went down and the temperature cooled off a little bit -- but not on the dance floor! It was so much fun just watching everyone cut loose and have a blast. Things went very smoothly the entire night thanks to the efforts of wedding coordinator Linda Lynch of SoCo Events, so I was able to concentrate on delivering a killer dance set.
At the end of the night, the bride and groom changed clothing and made a legendary exit through a sea of guests. Huge thanks to Jennifer McMenamin of Roman Grinev Photography for the wonderful pictures!
