Oh Twitter, you never disappoint me. #InappropriateWeddingSongs is trending on Twitter and some of the Twitterati's choices are not all that surprising. If you want to get in on the fun, pretty sure you know what to do.
Here are some highlights:
Gotye - Somebody That I Used to Know Jam to this incredibly popular tune all you want, just don't play it at a wedding. Seriously.
Kayne West - Gold Digger True story, I attended a wedding once where everyone knew what the deal was (presumably the groom knew better than anyone) and a friend thought it would be funny to request this song from the DJ. The DJ (no, it was not one of ours, this happened in California) played it. Words cannot describe the awkwardness that ensued.
Shaggy - It Wasn't Me Listen, we all know this song is still the jam. It always will be. But please, whatever you do, do not let this song anywhere NEAR a wedding. Just don't.
Keyshia Cole - I Should Have Cheated I don't need to explain this.
Oh and a bonus song that should never be played at weddings or dare we say ever anywhere again:
@oh_its_chris writes: "#InappropriateWeddingSongs 'Who let the dogs out?!' as the bride walks up the aisle" The Baha Men should be charged with endangering the health and welfare of 7 billion pairs of ears by unleashing this song on the world. No hard feelings, guys.
