Over the years, our core competencies have expanded from basic sound support and emcee work to complex, large-scale event audio reinforcement, full-scale production, and recording. Whatever your audiovisual needs may be, we either provide it in-house or can call upon one of our many partners to assist.

What kinds of services do you offer?
MyDeejay’s corporate division offers a wide range of services for corporate events of all types. From the highest quality professional disc jockeys and emcees, to large-scale sound reinforcement, to custom scriptwriting and music fills, we’ll work with you to create an event that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.
What types of events do you do?
Our corporate division covers business events of all types. Awards ceremonies, promotional events, grand openings, convention receptions, ribbon cuttings, holiday celebrations, team-building activities, employee retreats, and black-tie fundraising galas are just a few of the events for which we perform.

How large of an event can you cover?
MyDeejay has invested in multiple large-scale sound systems, which enables us to provide sound for large events. Because we carry this equipment in our in-house inventory and don’t need to contract out for sound reinforcement, our rates are usually much more competitive than those offered by big audiovisual companies. If your event requires inventory or expertise beyond the scope of what we carry in-house, we can bring in one of our many partners to assist in a way that is very cost-effective.
Why did you decide to form a corporate events division?
Our impeccable work in the weddings field generated a demand for the same upscale, unobtrusive entertainment style in the corporate events sector. With companies, venues and caterers contacting us regularly to request our assistance with their corporate events, it seemed only natural to develop a subsidiary that could focus on the unique needs of our corporate clients.
Will you work with my other vendors to produce my event?
At MyDeejay, we pride ourselves on taking a team approach to every event. Prior to your event date and throughout the event itself, our DJ will be in contact with your other vendors — the planner, venue staff, caterers and others as applicable – to ensure everything runs according to plan.
How will I know who my DJ will be?
At the time your proposal is prepared, we’ll match you with a DJ who is perfectly suited to the unique needs of your event. You will know prior to booking with us exactly which DJ you’ll be working with, and have the opportunity to communicate event details directly to the DJ, if you wish.
Do you have DJs fluent in other languages?
Yes. Our current roster includes one DJ who is fluent in Korean, and we are familiar with the music of many other cultures as well
How far in advance do I need to book your services?
Large-scale corporate events are usually booked several months to a year in advance, with smaller functions often booked short-term. We encourage you to contact us as soon as possible, but we will always accept an event as our availability permits.
May we speak with our DJ?
Your DJ will be more than happy to speak with you as frequently as needed. For large-scale functions, we can arrange for the DJ to take part in a walk-through at the venue or meet in person with your planning team, at your request.
How do you dress for an event?
Attire for corporate events is at your discretion – we’ve found a conservative business suit to be well-suited for most corporate functions, but if a tuxedo or more casual dress is more appropriate for your event, we are happy to oblige.
When do you arrive to set up for an event?
Setup time will depend largely on the scale and scope of your event, as well as the requirements of your venue. For events with fewer than 250 guests, we’ll generally arrive 90 minutes before our scheduled start time. For larger functions, setup may take place several hours before the start of the event. In either case, your DJ will work with you to ensure that setup and sound check are completed on time.
What do your prices include?
Prior to issuing an event proposal, we will consult with you to determine the services needed to execute your event. All of the time and equipment needed to carry out those services will be reflected in the price quoted to you on your proposal.
What kinds of music can you play?
Our music library is enormous and we are able to accommodate any genre of music, including a large collection of international music. All music is radio-edited and carefully selected to be appropriate for your specific event.
What is involved with scripting an event?
For events with an elaborate or complex program, such as an employee awards ceremony, having a professionally produced script can help things to run smoothly and clearly. MyDeejay can, with your input, create fully customized scripts that include the specific names of your awards, presenters, sponsors and any keynote speakers.
What are custom music fills?
Music fills are short pieces of music — usually 15 seconds to a minute in length – played while speakers or awards presenters are approaching the stage. Using music fills can bridge awkward silences and breaks in the program, and help to maintain the energy and excitement in the room. Music fills can be created from any genre of music – from soft jazz to funky electronic fusion to a style that advances your event theme.
What if there is an emergency and the DJ can’t make it to the event?
MyDeejay is proud to have created the most comprehensive emergency backup plan in the DJ industry. For every date we have scheduled events, we pay one of the DJs from our main roster to be available on-call in case of emergency. That DJ is prepared with the appropriate attire, equipment, and all of the music and event paperwork. We have never had to put this system into action, but feel it is well worth the investment in exchange for our clients’ peace of mind.
Do you carry insurance?
MyDeejay carries comprehensive liability insurance for each of our DJs, with a coverage value of $2,000,000. If your event site requires a certificate of insurance, we will gladly provide one on request.
What do you require from my event site?
We ask that your venue provide at least one six-foot banquet table with appropriate linen, as well as adequate power within 35 feet of where the DJ will be set up. For larger events, a riser or stage may also be necessary depending on the room layout. Our staff will work with you to outline our specific needs in order to ensure the best possible experience for your event’s guests.
What are your terms of payment?
MyDeejay requires a 50% deposit on all corporate events at the time of booking. We strongly prefer to receive the balance prior to the event date, but can work with your company’s specific billing requirements. For advance payments, credit cards are also accepted. MyDeejay does not extend credit or bill clients after the completion of the event.
